Why easy? Because I just took basically 2 colors and layered them for this outfit. I had to get ready very quickly because my son was demanding his morning walk, and I sort of overslept this morning.

So I just went with neutrals, and I love the result. As I mentioned before, gold is in my opinion the best neutral color in the world. Also, it's been years since I've last worn a sweater over a shirt, and this always works. I do need to stock up on those shirts and sweaters, that is definitely a gap in my wardrobe. I just realized how convenient this sweater-over-shirt combo is when the weather is not that cold yet but it is autumn and you can't deny it any more by bare legs or summer tops.

Speaking of bare legs, I refuse to agree with those stylists and bloggers who claim you can only wear crop pants with bare legs. If you live in California or Italy, you can probably follow that. But if you live in a damn cold climate like I do, where you get 1 month of summer and 6 months of winter, you have to learn to compromise. In my opinion, whenever your crop pants are made of non-summer material, or if your pants are jeans - you can experiment with tights under them. So, do not put your boyfriend jeans away for winter! Of course, in my case, I do need to buy myself a dark wash pair as well.

P.S.  Please forgive me for that look on my face! I hate it too, but I guess it takes time after you've lost a loved one for this look to disappear off your face.
