WINTER holiday dressing / Как одеться на зимний праздник.

Ok let's get back to the interesting topic of holiday dressing! Of course, over my observations and my own experience I've gathered a set of ... TIPS,  just as always!

When in doubt, in a hurry, or in a "closet crisis", go with a lace dress. I can not imagine an easier and prettier outfit for a winter party. The style you may have in mind is very tender, innocent and sophisticated, nothing vampy, extravagant or aggressively sexy (but don't worry you will always look sexy anyway in a short and delicate, angel-looking outfit!)

BUT! Not any lace dress would work, but a very specific one:

Вернемся к невероятно интересной затронутой мной ранее теме нарядов на зимние мероприятия: вечеринки, корпоративы и т.п.

Летом все конечно просто: надела платье, надела босоножки на каблуке - и все, готова! Зимой все осложняется холодом, грязью и снегом, в с ними вместе - 3-мя вечными проблемами: верхняя одежда, обувь и колготки. Поэтому нужно что-то, что создаст стильный нарядный образ и при этом избавит от выше указанных "осложнений".

В общем, если вам надо быстро собраться, выглядеть уместно вне зависимости от ситуации, или у вас просто кризис из разряда "нечего надеть" - выбирайте кружевное платье!

Но только не какое попало, а соответствующее определенным параметрам:

1.

LIGHT COLORED (white, or cream, or vanilla, or anything else light and delicious). Please forget any other color of lace for anything except your lingerie! This may sound harsh but most of colorful lace items out there are cheap- and prostitute-looking. Especially red!  Light color compensates the boldness of the lace making it look sort of innocent. The only exception is, probably, gold.

Оно должно быть светлое. Бежевое, молочное, ванильное, золотое - любого нежного светлого цвета. Держитесь подальше и вообще забудьте про наряды из кружева ЛЮБОГО другого цвета. Им место в секс-шопе или магазине нижнего белья.

The lace must be a natural fabric. For winter that would be cotton, wool, cashmere or silk blend. Please, stay away from anything 100% synthetic! That belongs in a sex shop, or your lingerie drawer. But those should NEVER be worn out!

Оно должно быть из натурального материала. Это, как правило, шерсть, шелк, хлопок, кашемир. Все из 100% синтетики отправляем туда же - в секс-шоп или ящик с нижним бельем.

Long sleeves, or at least 3/4 length sleeves. The purpose of this point is to forget about the problem of finding something to wear over your bare shoulders Whether this is a bolero jacket, a shawl or whatever, it hardly ever looks stylish. Blair here does have a perfect outfit anyway, but the sleeves of her dress are still long!

 Длинные рукава или хотя бы 3\4. Это для того, чтобы не думать, какое бы там болеро ил шаль или еще какую-нибудь фигню накинуть на плечи. Просто в большинстве случаев эти штуки смотрятся по-дурацки, особенно болеро! У Блэр, конечно, все идеально подобрано, но рукава то все равно длинные!

Simple shape and short length. MY ideal one is the one above. This is an old Juicy Couture Dress which is really hard to find. I've been trying to catch it on ebay for the last 5 years but had no success.This dress perfectly illustrates what an IDEAL lace dress would look like: no cleavage, no body hugging, no stretch, and quite short. A dress like this can be worn at any age, any body type, any occasion!

ФАСОН. Это - самое главное! Никаких вырезов и декольте, никаких стрейчев и обтягивающих моделей. Платье должно быть очень простого, почти прямого покроя и желательно покороче. Модель на фото выше - это мой идеал. Это старая модель от Juicy Couture, которую я уже лет 5 безуспешно пытаюсь выловить на ebay. Оно - просто УНИВЕРСАЛЬНЫЙ вариант для любого возраста, любой фигуры и любого случая.

5. 

Tights. Yay! We DO need tights for this outfit and will NOT have any pain in the ass about going with bare legs. And the best thing about that is the tights are YOUR choice. Just make sure they are opaque and non-transparent.  The easiest way would be to match the color of the tights to the color of your shoes. This always looks good. Lacy tights, like seen on Blair above, are the most difficult and dangerous option, but they do look cool, right?

 Колготки. УРА! Здесь они не только не будут проблемой, но даже очень нужны для стильного образа! Единственное требование к ним - быть матовыми и плотными. Цвет - на ваше усмотрение. Самый беспроигрышный вариант - колготки в тон обуви. Такой вариантс ажурными колготками, как у Блэр на фото выше - это высший пилотаж. Но смотрится круто, не правда ли?

6.

Shoes. And, once again - YAY! These can be your normal winter boots, the ones that actually can keep your feet warm and will not be destroyed by dirt or snow. The only rule for those boots - they have to be stylish. No UGGs and no snow boots. You can go with your favourite ankle boots (they are always easy to style with dresses), or even knee high boots (just make sure they are not black high-heeled ones), or even classic pumps.

Обувь. И тут никаких проблем. Никаких заморочек со "сменкой", испорченными изящными туфельками и т.п. Подойдет практически любая закрытая обувь - от ботильонов до лодочек. Главное- чтобы подходили к образу. Только единственное: не надо зимних черных сапог на меху на шпильке с острым носом.
