I found this dress in thrift store. It was not my size, it had tears and it screamed: "My life is over!"
It was costing way too much for the condition it had. But nothing stopped me: I fell in love with the color and the style and I love the brand, so I bought it. I took it to be repaired professionally and dry cleaned. The size worked perfectly for me since it was 4 sizes to big, but with today’s fashion for oversize it fit me perfectly. And do I need to tell how much I love it? This color is just wonderful, it should become basic instead of all the blacks and the whites.
This got me thinking: isn't our life just the same? Falling apart so many times and being mended back. It is never possible to get those seams to be invisible, but they dо keep it together. Those seams leave scars forever, on our hearts, our souls but we still keep going. Cause life is definitely worth mending it, fighting for it and going on.
Это платье я нашла в комиссионке. Оно было не моего размера, было порвано в нескольких местах, и всем своим видом кричало: "Mоя жизнь окончена!" Но меня это не остановило. Я его купила, отдала в ателье в ремонт, затем в химчистку. Примерила - и даже размер оказался для меня идеальным, хотя оно на 4 размера больше того, который я ношу. А цвет... У меня просто нет слов, он уже почти стал для меня базовым, как белый и черный.
Вот разве в жизни не то же самое? Она разваливается, рвётся, в мы ее склеиваем и штопаем, швы все равно видны, но жизнь продолжается, и она точно стоит того...
