Meet the CRAZY Boots!/

Juicy Couture
Sweater/свитер: old

Boots/ ботинки: Dr. Martens
Bag/ сумка: Coach

Lipstick/ помада: Tom Ford Pussycat + YSL Volupte Tint-in-Oil № 5
Nails/ лак: OPI Get Cherried Away

Ok, I showed these boots in my cold-weather shopping list, and here they are, in my possession, ready to wear!

I have THE most mixed feeling about these ones. First of all, I am so upset about the sizing. They run exactly one size large, and there was no warning about that on the web-site. Second, they are incredibly UNcomfortable, which I would've never expected from combat boots coming from a well-known brand name. Strappy sandals, 5-inch heels, pointy toes - these I get, but how, how could you make the combat boots uncomfortable?! They hurt my heels so badly, they are still bleeding 2 days after I wore the boots! Oh, Dr.Martens, I did not expect that from you!

Now, let's get to the good part. The boots do look amazing! Just enough roughness and just enough femininity - sounds impossible but people at Dr.Martens somehow managed to make that happen! The floral print is so pretty, so delicate, and it doesn't interfere withe the rugged shape of the boots. And how about the color! Not only it is the trendy bordeaux shade, but the print is done in another great fall color - military green! And do I need to mention that the whole boot is made of genuine leather?!

So no you get my mixed feelings about these boots. I read that, with the Dr.Martens, it takes time to sort of "break in", so perhaps my feet will adjust, but I will definitely need to get a smaller size.

As for the style, the Dr.Martens boots, especially these floral-printed ones are a definite must-have for your shoe-collection! Not only can they brighten any boring winter outfit (just wear them with a parka and a pair of jeans - and you've got a seriously stylish outfit!). They also bring you so many new and interesting styling opportunities! Like my today's outfit: this bronze metallic trench is such a pain in the ass in terms of styling! Being so bold and eye-catching on its own, it is impossible to pair it with something equally interesting. I did wear it with my metallic booties, but in order for it not to look too much, I had to go with the sweatpants then! Now these Dr.Martens boots make an amazing "competition" for the trench: the floral print makes them glamorous enough, but being combat boots, they take down any excess femininity of the whole outfit!

  9. Dr. martens boots are always uncomfortable to start with but they become more comfortable with time (I promise), it just that like all leather shoes it takes a bit time for the foot to get used to them. After you walked in them for a few times, they should become comfortable..but then again, perhaps they just don't work for you. I've known only one girl that said they were hard to walk in, but it is always possible that they just don't fit properly.

I had my dr. martens boots since I was 15 and I wear them still, especially when it is raining or snowing. I do really like the floral print on yours....and that silver coat is wonderful! you look great.
