I had a lot of questions concerning this item of clothing. In the first place: is that a dress? Or a top? Or did I just buy it as tribute to our Belarusian folk costume...

Because before it became a huge trend a couple of seasons ago, this ornament used to be traditional folk ornament of Belarus. Unfortunately, we weren't the ones to popularize it, to bring it to the runways and streets. Even the retail giants like H&M got ahead of us...


Я купила эту штуковину, не особо задумываясь о том, как я буду ее носить. Купила ее, наверное, из-за орнамента. Уже пару сезонов, как он вошел в моду, и мы, беларусы, вспомнили наш народный узор. Но, к сожалению, не мы вывели его на подиумы и в массы, не мы прославили его на весь мир. Нас опередил даже дешевый масс - H&M. Причем опередил не только по скорости "подхвата" нового тренда, но и по доступности.
