Ok, who was begging for a true Russian winter all December long?!
Here it comes: from plus 10 to minus 20! I am serious, people! I can not even believe that I dared to go out and take these pictures! But the sun was shining, the outfit was ok, and my makeup was great, so I just went for it. I even neglected my red nose and just hope you could neglect it too, please?
Besides, this outfit makes a great ground for discusing one important topic.The
SCARF .
I received it as part of my collaboration with
cndirect.com. And this is seriously the most amazing scarf I've seen in a while. Incredibly warm. Incredibly soft. Incredibly large (you can even wrap your whole head with it if you want - and you WILL want that on a freezing day like that!). Icredibly beautiful and incredibly flattering colors. And this scarf has even survived a wash already! Which is quite rare for something coming from China.
But besides the amazing scarf, I got a few other items which were not so amazing, and what's the worst part - I DID not get the one item I was looking forward to the most - the most expensive one and the most versatile one - the tunic top I was planning to style in many different ways to complete my collaboration commitment.
And here comes my dilemma. On one hand, there was a certaing commitment: they send me the items, I do my reviews. And those were their conditions, by the way - not mine. By not sending me one of the items they had promised to send, they sort of broke their commitment. However: they did send me some free stuff, including this scarf that I love! So, I now feel bad about saying anything negative about that company! How do you say negative stuff about people who gave you something for free?! At the same time, how can you be dishonest and say you like something when in fact you don't?
How DOES this whole collaboration think work?!

Вот он и пришла, родимая, как по заказу: от плюс 10 сразу до минус 20! Я даже до сих пор не могу поверить, что вообще решилась пойти фотографироваться в такую погоду! Но образ был вполне подходящим, светило солнце (что для хороших фотографий просто мега-важно, а солнечные дни у нас такая редкость, что их можно по пальцам сосчитать), и главное - мне нужен был повод поговорить о ШАРФЕ!
Этот шарф я получила от сайта cndirect.com в рамках сотрудничества. И именно этот шарф оказался просто обалденным! Он невероятно теплый (на улице минус 20!), невероятно большой (им можно обмотаться хоть до самой макушки!), невероятно мягкий, и просто совершенно нереально красивого цвета. И даже более - он уже выдержал свою первую стирку! А это - очень непростая задача для китайских товаров, с которой справляются лишь единицы...
Тем не менее, само сотрудничество меня немного разочаровало. Мне не прислали одну из выбранных вещей - самую дорогую и интересную вещь, между прочим. Казалось бы, чего жаловаться: итак получила халяву ... Но ведь есть еще и договоренности! И они были построены не на моих условиях - сама компания предложила именно эти условия!
Но главная дилемма для меня даже не в этом. Меня в принципе смущает вся сущность сотрудничества: люди бесплатно присылают мне вещи, и, если мне что-то не понравилось, то получается, я за их же деньги их буду ругать?! А писать неправду и хвалить все, что досталось бесплатно, я тоже не могу...
Ну и как это все работает?!
