How to Survive Heat Stylishly. Tip One: The Little Silk Dress /

The summer I love is gone. The one with the temperature about 20 degrees, sunny and pleasant. Now the extreme summer has arrived - the one with 30 degrees, which I call "the fashion blogger's nightmare".

I hate it because it makes you think about how to UNdress instead of how to dress. It messes up your hair and make-up, and your whole existence, actually! If you are like me and not crazy about wearing the tiniest shorts with the tiniest top - we've got ourselves a challenge! The challenge being to find the ways to dress minimally but still look stylish.

Option number one is the silk mini dress. By the way, you could have seen this dress in one of my winter outfits here. For summer, I love this dress because it is extremelly lightweight, loose-fitting and extremely, almost unacceptably, short. Which is fine by me, because if you have to undress, it is better to do it by wearing a cute dress like this, rather than wearing some tiny shorts with your butt showing from them (these are merely my own observations: I see women dressed in those shorts every day. A lot!).

Of course, sometimes I do ask myself whether such length is appropriate for a 30-something woman, but it is usually followed by the next question: do I really care? If you keep the right balance between the fit of the dress and the length, you are fine! The shorter the dress - the looser must be the fit.

Concerning the rest of the look, you might still wonder: what the hell is she talking about, discussing heat-survival AND wearing those heels? Let me justify myself a little bit! First, those sandals match my dress so perfectly, that I couldn't think of wearing anything else (I wanted a minimal-color look this time). Second, these shoes are all-leather and extremely comfortable (and I also wanted to look taller and thinner, to be completely honest!).
